Term | Definition |
Asynchronous replication | Data is first written to the primary storage area and then copied to a secondary storage area at predefined intervals. Typically, useful over smaller bandwidth connections and longer distances where latency could occur. |
Business continuity | Capability of an organisation to continue to deliver products or services at acceptable levels following a disruption. |
Business continuity management (BCM) | Process for management to oversee and implement resilience, continuity and response capabilities to safeguard employees, customers, and products and services. |
Business continuity plan (BCP) | Written plan to maintain or resume business in the event of a disruption. |
