Both the ASX and LCH. Clearnet are looking at the opportunities in the Australian clearing market. But is there room for two players?

Although the clearing of over-the-counter derivatives has not been mandated by Australian regulators as of yet, the local market is clearly moving to clear OTC trades through a central clearing house, driven by pricing in dealing with a cleared versus uncleared trade.
