Asset manager’s absolute emissions linked to corporate securities and real estate stood at 330.7 million tons of CO2e in 2020

BlackRock’s absolute carbon emissions for assets under management (AUM) linked to corporate securities and real estate accounted for 1% of global emissions in 2020, the firm’s latest climate disclosures show.

Published as part of the group’s Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) – seen as the gold standard for climate reporting – the analysis provides a glimpse into the asset manager's contribution to climate change.
