EBA to launch new stress tests

European Banking Authority unveils timeline for second round of EU-wide stress tests with launch set for Friday; first executive director and internal committee named

The European Banking Authority (EBA) on Thursday released details of its timeline for an EU-wide stress test exercise that is set to launch on Friday.

The EBA's board of supervisors said the European Union-wide stress-testing exercise with national supervisory authorities would commence on March 4, when it will issue details on proposed scenarios to banks involved in the tests.
