US Wrap: Alternative structures fail to break accelerated growth run

Yesterday marked the fourth consecutive day in the US structured products market which saw accelerated growth structures make an exclusive appearance. Two products were linked to the S&P 500 index, issued by JP Morgan and Deutsche Bank, with the latter also adding a product linked to the MSCI Eafe International Index, which incorporates international equity.

Deutsche's S&P 500-linked product lasts four years and offers 200% participation in the index up to a cap of between 210-216% on returns. No downside protection is included. JP Morgan's, on the other hand, lasts 18 months and incorporates a 12.5% downside buffer with 100% participation. Returns are capped at 136.65%.
