People: RBS's head of equity derivatives trading joins BNP Paribas

BNP Paribas has named Kieron Smith global head of exchange-traded derivatives. He joins BNPP from Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) where he was global head of equity derivatives trading. In his new role, Smith will report to Raphael Masgnaux, global head of financing at the French bank. The move forms part of an ongoing integration of the two banks' derivatives teams after BNPP acquired large sections of RBS's equity derivatives business in 2013.
