US SEC appoints deputy director of Office of International Affairs

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has appointed Robert Fisher as deputy director of the Office of International Affairs (OIA).

The OIA advises the SEC on cross-border enforcement issues, and is responsible for the agency's involvement in international regulatory bodies such as the Financial Stability Board. Fisher will oversee the OIA's policy issues, and will report to OIA director Ethiopis Tafara.
