Dresdner makes hires in rates flow trading

Dresdner Kleinwort has added a number of staff in rates flow trading, including a new head of interest rates flow trading.

Domenico Crapanzano, former head of e-trading at Bank of America in London and New York, has become Dresdner’s head of interest rates flow trading. He is based in London and reports to Eddie Listorti, head of fixed-income, currencies and commodities at the bank. He will be responsible for co-ordinating the flow trading business for government bonds and swaps, agency and covered bonds, foreign exchange forwards and exchange-traded derivatives.

Reporting to Crapanzano, Claudio Pinto joins Dresdner in August to become head of euro and sterling liquid rates trading. He was formerly director of rates trading at Barclays Capital in London, where he will continue to be based. Vito Santoro, also formerly of Barclays Capital, joins Pinto’s team trading the long-end of the euro curve from London in September.

Also reporting to Pinto are Louis Chong and Wee-Khoon Chong. Louis Chong joins at the end of August from Barclays Capital as a euro rates trader, based in London. Wee-Khoon Chong has recently joined Dresdner in the same role. He was formerly euro rates strategist at Bank of America.
