Multiple point of entry resolution (MPE)
A bank adopts a multiple point of entry resolution if it plans to allow the resolution of different operating subsidiaries in different jurisdictions separately by the local resolution authorities in each case, with the bail-in of local liabilities. MPE strategies are often the preference of retail banks reliant on local deposits, since regulators tend to require them to maintain local capital and liquidity management with limited intragroup exposures.
