Commodity Futures Trading Commission loses outspoken member, who pushed for tighter regulation of investment banks

Bart Chilton, former commissioner with the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), has joined law firm DLA Piper as a senior policy adviser.

He will work with the company's global swaps practice in the Washington, DC, office, advising clients on new derivatives regulations stemming from the US Dodd-Frank Act, the firm said in a statement.
