Unicredit launches first Polish product as secondary market swells

Unicredit group is introducing its first listed certificate in Poland. The launch comes as The Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE) announces record trading figures for structured products throughout January, up 174% from the previous all-time high in November 2007.

The certificate is an open-ended index-tracker linked to a choice of seven different regional emerging market indexes, including Russia, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia and Poland. They are open to subscription for Polish investors at a price of PLN100 (€28) each until February 8 through 15 individual brokerage houses in Poland. They will be introduced on to the WSE for trading on February 13.
