Sakura Bank Signs With HP And ISI-Dentsu For Global Risk System

SAKURA Bank, the fifth largest bank in the world with nearly $500 billion in assets, has contracted with Hewlett-Packard Japan (H-P) and ISI-Dentsu, a systems integration company, to jointly develop and implement a global value-at-risk-based risk management system.

The bank is investing over $30 million in the project, which it hopes will provide enhanced internal risk controls and enable it to meet Bank of Japan (BoJ) and Bank for International Settlements (BIS) deadlines for implementing such
