
Goldman appoints new financial risk head
Promotion sees Josh Schiffrin oversee strategy and financial risk, including trading supervision

Goldman Sachs has promoted global trading strategy head Josh Schiffrin to the role of chief strategy officer and head of financial risk for global banking and markets, according to an internal memo seen by Risk.net.
Schiffrin, a veteran rates trader, will run “credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, collateralised lending risk and capital resource management,” the memo notes.
The promotion of a rates trader to a broad strategy and risk role comes as the Federal Reserve Board is set to cut
