DTCC signs collaboration agreement withTaiwanese counterpart

The New York-based Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) and the Taiwan Securities Central Depository (TSCD) have signed an agreement to co-operate in their business activities, including sharing information on risk management.

The securities depositories will now, under a legal framework, exchange information and advice on their business activities.

This will start with the DTCC providing training, advice and information on risk management, custody mutual funds servicing and straight-through processing, said the institutions in a joint statement.

“For DTCC, it is an excellent opportunity to keep on top of developments in the Taiwan market,” said DTCC chief executive Jill Considine.
