Forex repository aiming for mid-2012 launch, says DTCC
Following the launch of the interest rate derivatives trade repository last week, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation confirms foreign exchange and commodities are the next priority
The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), which in July was selected by the global foreign exchange division of the Global Financial Markets Association to develop a trade repository for the foreign exchange market, expects the new utility to go live around mid-2012. But the timeline is still uncertain, as the firm builds the necessary infrastructure and awaits further regulatory clarity.
