IDC finalises S&P Comstock acquisition

Interactive Data Corporation (IDC) has purchased S&P ComStock, a real-time information service providing financial data from more than 180 stock exchanges worldwide.

"We are very pleased to have completed an acquisition that offers so many opportunities to expand and strengthen Interactive Data Corporation's business,” said Stuart Clark, president and chief executive of IDC.“

IDC paid $115 million in cash for ComStock, a former unit of Standard & Poor's, which in turn is owned by The McGraw-Hill Companies.
