OneChicago offers free analytics to boost SSF trading

OneChicago, a joint venture between Chicago’s three largest exchanges, will offer customers a new research and analytics system today called OneChicago Analytics.

"Our primary objective for OneChicago Analytics is to encourage the use of security futures products by offering a comprehensive research capability on our website," said William Rainer, chairman and chief executive of OneChicago.

Users of the free service, created by Chicago-based financial software company Quantitative Analytics, can build their own portfolios and analyse the performance of their portfolios against benchmarks and other economic indicators.

OneChicago started trading securities futures on November 8 with 21 single-stock futures (SSF) contracts. It now lists 85 such contracts and plans to offer narrow-based indexes next month.

OneChicago is a joint venture between the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange and the Chicago Board of Trade.
