Global exchange-traded product (ETP) inflows surged to a six-month high of $33.5 billion in April, representing the best April on record for the industry, according to figures from BlackRock. Europe-listed ETPs have attracted more assets in the first four months of 2014 than 2013 as a whole, resulting in $20.6 billion in inflows year to date.
