Index provider Dow Jones, in conjunction with Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group, has launched the Dow Jones US Venture Capital index, designed to measure changes in the market value of venture capital-financed companies in the US.

Licensed to Chicago Alternative Investment Partners, the index serves as a basis for financial products and was launched to offer investors access to information on companies based in the US that have received equity funding from institutional venture capital funds.
