MSCI has launched a series of environmental, social and governance (ESG) indexes to meet the increasing demand for principles-based investments, as issues such as climate change continue to dominate news headlines.

The indexes are split into three categories: best-of-class, values-based and environmental, to cater for sustainability-oriented investors, those who want to invest according to social values and those for whom environmental investment is important, respectively.
