Barclays Capital brings exchange-traded notes to Asia

Barclays Capital launched and listed the first exchange-traded notes (ETN) in ex-Japan Asia on December 9. The ETNs are based on commodities, listed on the Singapore Exchange and will be the first of a series of asset classes rolled out in this format, according to Peter Hu, BarCap's Singapore-based head of investor solutions for Asia ex-Japan.
