Inflation-busting products gain popularity in the UK

Issuance of inflation products and creation of indexes is on the rise as investors seek to hedge exposure to rising inflation. In the UK, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) experienced an increase of 0.3% between April and May, according to the Office for National Statistics (ONS). Food inflation alone reached 8.7% in May while electricity, gas and other fuels reached 11.2%, representing an 8.3% rise from figures produced by the ONS in April.

Amid this environment, banks are issuing inflation-buster
