­­BNPP appoints new head of US and CAD interest rate swaps

Eric Duclos joins from Crédit Agricole

BNP Paribas has hired a new global head of US and Canadian dollar interest rate swaps trading, as the bank looks to strengthen its presence in US markets.

Eric Duclos joined in May from fellow French bank Crédit Agricole, where he was head of USD rates trading. Duclos will be based in New York and reports to Kunal Maini, co-head of macro Americas.

BNP Paribas declined to comment on the move.

The bank’s previous head of USD swaps trading, Raymond Betita, left to join Nomura in December last
