SGX and LME partner on metals futures launch

The London Metal Exchange (LME) and the Singapore Exchange (SGX) have joined forces to launch cash-settled mini monthly metals futures contracts to be traded and cleared on the SGX

The initial suite of futures contracts for copper, zinc and the steel billet will be priced off the LME benchmark contracts, and will be launched in the first quarter of next year, subject to regulatory approval.
