US Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) commissioner Sharon Bowen announced her plans to leave the regulator during a speech made on June 20.

While addressing the Market Risk Advisory Committee (MRAC), Bowen said she intends to leave the CFTC within the next few months, or sooner if another nominee is confirmed. In her statement, Bowen said being one of only two commissioners “makes routine business difficult” and policy decisions “almost impossible”.
