The disclosure by insurers of prospective Solvency II numbers promises to be a theme of growing interest this year, raising questions about how firms will present their position to analysts, and what analysts will make of what they are told. Will the focus on the capital position of insurers intensify, as has been the case for banks since the financial crisis?
